  1. To continue on the train theme, be great to hear you all (soon, I’ll say ‘us’) sing “I been workin on the railroad.” It’s very chanty.

…don’t you hear da whistle blowin
Rise up(sounds familiar) so early in da morn
Don’t ya hear da Captain shoutin: LET’S GO A-T-L!

    • I concur, we need more railroad in our chants.

If we’re going to do the Icelandic Clap we should at least make it ours by starting it with a shout of, “All aboard!” And change it to a stomp and clap to make it sound like a train starting off.

I also came up with this one to the then of the Grateful Dead’s Casey Jones:

Driving that train, high on Miguel,
Almiron you better watch your speed
      Trouble ahead, trouble behind
And you know that Atlanta just crossed my mind

This old engine makes it on time
Leaves Airport Station ’bout a quarter to nine
Hits 5 Points Junction at seventeen two
At a quarter to ten you know it’s travelin’ again

Driving that train, high on Miguel,
Almiron you better watch your speed
      Trouble ahead, trouble behind
And you know that Atlanta just crossed my mind
